Hello!

My name is Christian Cook! I was born on 06/17/2003, and I am starting this blog to let people know more about me! My hopes with this are for you to see what areas of interest I am most passionate in . I hope by the end of this you will have greater insight on who I am as a person with the information provided!  Look below this post to see what I am interested in.

Physical Collecting

This passion I have is a bit more nebulous than the other two, but hear me out. I love collecting physical objects representing the stuff I love. I collect vinyl and CDs, I have an extensive video game backlog, and I have various pieces of rare merchandise that is irreplaceable. My vinyl collection is skyrocketing over five-hundred currently, and there's more to come. Allow me to share some of my favorite parts of my collection:   My CDs, stacked on top of some Blu-rays that I own.   A collection of merch from the latest Car Seat Headrest album, The Scholars , awarded to me for helping with the album rollout.    The next eleven images are my entire record collection (excluding The Scholars , which I was playing at the time I took the image). You can find more information about them here, on my Discogs account: Discogs

Video Games

Video games have been my longest-running passion. I have loved video games ever since I was cognizant enough to hold a controller and comprehend a TV screen. I have a very extensive collection of games, be it physical or digital. My favorite types of video games are the ones that have an interesting narrative, usually one that couldn't be told in a medium besides the realm of games. My favorite games on Steam demonstrate this well, I feel:   I love these types of emotional, resonant stories. They really call to me and reach down the well of emotions inside of me and strike gold.

Music

Music is my biggest passion out of any of the others I have listed. Music has been one of my biggest interests since birth, and has been a constant throughout my life. I was in choir for about 12 years of my life in my schooling years, and shows like Steven Universe really fostered my enjoyment of other genres of music beyond the more traditional kinds. I was introduced to the band Car Seat Headrest in 2019, and that really jump-started serious interest in the medium beyond what's on TV or in class. Now, six years later, I have over five-hundred records collected, with more to come, and I am into a lot more artists now. (The Beach Boys are a recent obsession!) Here is a list of my favorite albums ever made:   1. Car Seat Headrest - How To Leave Town 2. Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy   3. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds 4. The Beach Boys - The Smile Sessions 5. The Cure - Disintegration 6. Talking Heads - Remain in Light 7. Depeche Mode - Violator 8. The Mountain Goats - Tallaha...
